Radisson Blu where life meets luxuryExquisite' is just the right word to describe the huge edifice housing the newly opened Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel situated on Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island.The Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel is located along the Lagos Lagoon waterfront, an ideal location in the heart of the business district of Lagos. It is close to the Mega Plaza shopping mall, the consulates and the banks; hence, guests can easily explore the exciting Victoria Island day and nightlife. In addition, guests can also have access to the jetty along the waterfront.

Luxuriously styled by famed Swedish hospitality designer, Christian Lundwall, with the architecture design by Moyo Ogunseinde, executive director, business development, uraga real estate, the five-star hotel accommodation offers 170 rooms and suites decorated in two original styles, Urban and Ocean. Standing out among hotels in Lagos, all of these spacious, modern rooms, which range from Standard to opulently furnished suites, feature spectacular views of the Lagos Lagoon or the city. All rooms have both bathtubs and walk-in showers. Guests also enjoy free high-speed Internet access throughout the hotel.
 
The Standard rooms, explains, Ogunseinde, are designed in Urban and Ocean styles for a relaxing stay in a modern setting. "The rooms feature spectacular lagoon or city views, bathtub and walk-in shower and Free high-speed Internet access. It's approximate size is 32 m2 and the maximum number of guests are two adults.The business class rooms which are located on the third floor of the hotel offer the beautiful city and lagoon views. "These rooms feature a spacious bathroom with a glass corner to the vanity area and all of the Standard room amenities, as well as a bathrobe and slippers, Nespresso coffee machine and room service breakfast available for no additional fee. Guests also enjoy access to the exclusive Business Executive Lounge, located on the same floor of the hotel. This lounge offers a relaxing retreat to start the day with a cup of coffee, meet with colleagues or unwind after a busy day," adds Ogunseinde.
 
The hotel also features an international buffet with an abundant choice of Nigerian and Continental dishes, along with an à la carte menu, offering signature dishes from the region and Europe. The Voyage Restaurant, for instance, seats up to 65 guests and overlooks the beautiful lagoon. It connects to the terrace, which provides room for 24 people and is the ideal backdrop for small parties and wedding receptions. It opens from 06:00am to 23:00 daily.
 
The Surface Bar & Grill is situated on the terrace overlooking the Lagos Lagoon and outdoor pool. The bar provides the perfect place to soak up the sun, for those who love to sunbath, enjoy a great meal and hold special events. The bar opens from noon till midnight.

Perhaps what makes the hotel a great attraction is the fact that the waterfront provides elite jetty access, making it one of the most alluring venues in the area. In addition, there are popular attractions within drive from the hotel such as the Lagos Bar Beach, City Mall, National Museum, Tafawa Balewa Square, Civic Centre, Eko Expo Centre, MUSON Centre and National Conservation Foundation at Lekki.
There is also The View Bar lounge offers a stunning lagoon landscape, a relaxing retreat and tempting menu of light snacks and drinks available all day. It opens from 08:00 am to 02:00pm daily.
 
Oba Otudeko, chairman, Honeywell Group, said the hotel is long in coming but it is better later than never. "The formal opening of our hotel is a formal milestone in the history of the Honeywell Group," he says. "It is indigenous and we operate in sectors of the economy. We are raising the game in the hospitality business in the country. We are offering our clients quality service and excellence. We can assure you that guests who will come into our hotel has never seen the kind of hospitality in Nigeria before."
 
Kurt Ritter, president, Rezidor Group Hotel, trademark owner of Radisson Blu, says another branch if the hotel will open in Abuja soon as the brand is known for quality and the design is very important. "Everything is very important to us, especially the design. We design everything from the doors to the hinges. That is the hallmark of our brand.
